Electronics

Semiconductors, telecommunications, and medical devices are the core of our electronics business.
We enjoy particular predominance in semiconductor analog technologies and microwave technologies for telecommunications, and we focus our product development on such markets as audiovisual equipment, industrial and on-board devices, and telecommunications. Moving forward, we will also work to expand our business by developing high added-value products and new devices, and developing new process technologies in collaboration with semiconductor production outsourcers.
Amid increasing telecommunication speeds, we are leveraging technical advances in telecommunications devices to cultivate new markets in several businesses: high-capacity, high-speed next-generation communications infrastructure; intelligent transportation systems (ITS); disaster prevention, environment, and monitoring solutions; and marine solutions. We are also active in the power and energy business, with a focus on the environment and energy conservation.
In the medical-devices field, we are committed to achieving a prosperous society of healthy people, creating high-performance, highly reliable products that meet increasingly advanced and diverse medical needs. We are also expanding into new businesses, including radiation measurement devices and specimen-testing systems.
Our environmental and energy businesses are of the key strategies of the Nisshinbo Group, and electronics-related technologies are also key technologies for the growth of these businesses. We are thus actively committed to strengthening our electronics business, through enhanced strategic collaboration with our subsidiaries, New Japan Radio and Ueda Japan Radio; and our affiliates, Japan Radio, Nagano Japan Radio, and ALOKA.
